WILMINGTON -- The Wilmington Star News announced Friday that it will stop printing its own newspaper.

The Star News says it will outsource the printing of the newspaper to a company that has not yet been named. Nearly 40 full-time workers in the mail room and press room could be laid off as a result.

Advertising dollars in newspapers around the nation have been in a spiraling decline since the growth of the Internet.
