CHARLOTTE -- Transit officials have called in personnel from France to help fix problems with the light rail ticket machines.

The ACS ticket machines have had glitches since the opening of the Lynx line in November. First, they wouldn't print the tickets after money was deposited, then the most recent issue: the machines weren't giving back the right amount of change, if any at all.

CATS officials say the technicians will be here at their expense until all problems with the ticket machines are fixed.

If a machine is broken at your stop, someone will be there to sell the light rail tickets in person. Additional staff will also ride the lines until all of the problems are fixed.
