CHARLOTTE – The Domestic Advocacy Council will hold a march in uptown Charlotte on Thursday, following Mecklenburg County’s first alleged domestic homicide of the year.
The incident happened this weekend in the Steele Creek area. Police say 33-year-old Christopher Love shot and killed 40-year-old Brian Oxner inside a home on Lakemist Drive just before 3 a.m.
The group organizes awareness marches every Thursday following a death in the county that is thought to be related to domestic violence.
Marchers will gather Thursday at noon at the corner of Trade Street and Tryon Street.
