CHARLOTTE – Tuesday night, Mecklenburg County residents can give their thoughts on proposed changes to the stormwater fee system.
Harry Jones, Mecklenburg County manager, wants to move from a two-tier to a four-tier fee system. Under the plan, most smaller property owners would pay less in stormwater fees and some larger property owners would pay more.
The revenues pumped in would primarily go into the county’s rainy day fund, which helps after floods.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at the government center at 6 p.m.
