CHARLOTTE -- Liberty National will hold interviews Wednesday as the Texas-based insurance company looks to hire 300 people for the three offices they will be opening in the Charlotte area. Despite record unemployment, company officials think it won’t be easy to fill the sales jobs.
Liberty National people say the average commission for a sales rep last year was $61,675. They offer health insurance, 401K and other benefits once employees meet a specific performance threshold.
The company is holding interviews all morning and through 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Embassy Suites on South Tryon Street. According to the U.S. News & World Report, Charlotte ranks 10th in the nation for job posting per capita. The magazine indicates Charlotte has about 49 job posting per 1,000 people. In the past several months, job fairs around the area have been inundated with applicants as unemployment continues to reach double digits.
