The Onslow County Crime Stopper program has been honored for bringing its message to students. Crime Stoppers helped Coastal Carolina Community College get a program up and running on campus.

New unemployment numbers released Friday show that North Carolina's jobless rate is up to 11 percent in October from 10.8 percent in September. It may seem like a small increase, but it's still tough for those who have spent much of this year in the unemployment line.
