The school said Fobbs would not return for the rest of the season and named running back coach George Ragsdale as the interim coach.

"Coaches are always evaluated and coach Fobbs, during his tenure here, has been evaluated each and every season -- this season being no exception," N.C. A&T Athletics Director Wheeler Brown said. "So I wouldn't say that this was something that was done for this year, as much as we have looked at the entire body of work and decided that now would be the time that we would make a change."

The Aggies lost all 22 games during Fobbs' first two seasons. He finishes with a record of two wins and 28 losses.
