GREENSBORO – An N.C. A&T student is dead after police say someone shot him early Sunday morning.
Police say Dennis Hayle, a senior, was leaving one apartment in his building and going across the hall to his home when someone shot him in the breezeway.

Police say they have no suspects or a motive in the shooting. Anyone with any information about this case is asked to call Greensboro Crime Stoppers at (336)373-1000.
Students don't understand why this happened to someone they say was a good student and volunteer.
“There's no script to this. There's no book to how you handle this. You handle it the best way you can,” Dimitri Yates, a fraternity brother and friend, said.
Friends say the senior was known for his smile and how much he loved to help others.
“For the people who don't his name, they know him as 'Dimples' or 'Aggie pride,'” Thomas Hudson, fraternity brother and friend, said. “He would always have a smile that would light up any room.”
Administrators say nearly a hundred people took advantage of on-campus grief counseling held on Sunday and even more have left messages on the university's Web site.
“If you want to know about his life, it is painted by the words that are shared by many of his student peers, his faculty members, his teachers, professors and some administrators who have come in contact with this outstanding young man,” Mable Scott, a spokesperson for the university, said.
And that's something his friends know very well.
“I pray to God, if I one day have a kid, that I have a son that's just like Dennis, just like Dennis,” Yates said.
The school will hold a public memorial for Dennis Hayle at 5 p.m. Thursday on campus at the Harrison Auditorium.
