APEX, N.C. -- Investigators have seized hair and blood samples from the four teens accused of killing 18-year-old Matthew Silliman.

Silliman’s body was found Dec. 3 in a mobile home in New Hill, N.C., about a week after being reported missing. He was in a plastic bag with duct tape over his mouth.

Allegra Dahlquist, Ryan Hare, Aadil Khan and Drew Shaw were all arrested the following day and are being held in the Wake County jail. Two of the teens confessed to authorities that they beat Silliman in the head with a hammer, tied him up with zip ties and suffocated him.

According to court documents, they also admitted using common animal medications to plan the murder and read Silliman his fortune with Tarot cards right before his death.

In search warrants released Monday, investigators wrote that they needed to compare their samples with items that were seized from their homes. Last week, investigators sought permission to search files on a digital camera in connection with the case.
