Gas prices hold steady across nation as summer under way

RALEIGH – The price of a gallon of gasoline has held steady over the past two weeks.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $2.64. That’s $1.44 less than this time last year.
In North Carolina the price is a little lower than the average, coming in at $2.61. Drivers in Raleigh and Charlotte are paying an average of $2.63, while Wilmington is seeing prices at $2.61 and Greensboro drivers are paying $2.58.
