CHARLOTTE -- The Council on Aging will soon be holding its annual conference, and the organization is looking for people to attend and leave their impact on what they hope will be a senior-friendly future.

“The Council on Aging has set an agenda, and we are focusing on care giving, housing and transportation, but the focus of the conference is more disseminating information through education and providing the tools for community members to advocate for changes to make a senior-friendly community,” said Kellie Visker, education and advocacy manager for COA.

The event will be held May 6 at the Levine Senior Center in Matthews. Attendees must register, and can do that through the group’s web site or by calling 704-512-6551.
