Billy Graham Library opens to the public
CHARLOTTE – The Billy Graham Library opened to the public Tuesday morning, after being seen by three former presidents and members of the media.
Visitors arrived early and eager to get a glimpse at what they call greatness.
"We're going to see history, his youth and how he grew up,” said Bill Dumbauld.
"Just always been amazed with Billy Graham and it was special to see it,” said Gloria Hamilton.
Visitors came from all over the country -- including Florida, California and Seattle, Wash.

"A long distance, but well worth the trip,” said Karen Dumbauld.
Inside the 40,000 square foot facility, visitors took a 90-minute tour where they learned more about the man and his ministry.
Through watching videos, looking at pictures and seeing pieces of his life on display, they said they feel closer to Billy Graham and to God.
“He was a blessing to so many people in so many countries. He's special. He's a gift from God to us,” said Lorena McCurdy.
The library will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sundays.
Admission is always free to the public.
