RALEIGH -- Wake County’s children’s museum got a new name and a new start this weekend, when the Marbles Kid’s Museum was unveiled Saturday, bringing kids of all ages to downtown Raleigh.
The new museum, which merges Exploris and Playspace, also comes with new galleris, food vendors and exhibits.

all it took to create the new Marbles.
“We teamed up with the College of Design at NC State to really focus on creativity and innovation,” said museum President Sally Edwards. “So we have a great staff of museum educators that will continue to evolve the program here.”
Marbles is located in the same building where Exploris used to be on East Hargett Street in downtown Raleigh. It’s open Tuesday-Saturday from 9 am-5 pm and on Sundays from 12-5 pm.
