High school cheating ring busted

Officials learned about the stolen key on Feb. 15 while they investigated students for having answers to a midterm.
CHAPEL HILL -- Chapel Hill High School officials say they've busted a cheating ring.
According to reports, students used a master key to enter teachers' offices at night to look at exams. In at least one case, the students used a camera phone to copy exam answers.
Officials learned about the stolen key on Feb. 15 while they investigated students for having answers to a midterm.
Investigators say the cheating went on for several years with the key being passed from one year's graduates to the next even larger group of students.
