Volunteers continue search for Morris
CREEDMOOR, N.C. – On the first day of winter, volunteers are combing the woods to look for missing Granville mother, 28-year-old Kelly Currin Morris.
Morris has been missing since Sept. 3.
Unfortunately, a morning downpour made the search difficult. Even with searchers canceling, about 10 volunteers still showed up as part of Team Kelly Currin Morris. The location of the search was already mapped out and put into action as the rain cleared.

This search will be the last of the year, and family and friends are hoping to have answers by the holidays.
Since Morris’ disappearance in September, search crews have come from all over to help.
“We still need help looking and all,” Paul Currin, Kelly Morris’s uncle, said. “As time goes on, people lose hope and may not be as aggressive or eager to come out, and maybe thinking she won’t be found, but you have to keep going.”
The day after she was discovered missing, Morris’ home in Stem was set on fire. Her car was found less than a mile away.
Family and friends haven’t given up hope. They have spent many hours combing the area and trying to find any clue that would lead them to the mother of two.
Morris’ husband has been named a person of interest, but no arrests have been made.
