YADKINVILLE, N.C. – Sheriff’s deputies in Yadkin County are investigating what they’re calling a murder-suicide.

Sheriff’s investigators found the bodies of an unidentified man and woman inside a home on Windsor Avenue in Yadkinville early Thursday afternoon. Deputies say it appears the man shot the woman with a 12-gauge shotgun before turning the weapon on himself.
"There was a partial note that stated that she was an accident," said Sheriff Mike Cain. "...The best we can determine at this point is possible he inflicted the gunshot wound into her, and then some time later thought about it, because it appears to be that she may have been deceased a little longer than he's been."

The sheriff’s office isn’t released the identities of the victims until their families have been notified.
