Search on for felon suspected in fatal stabbing

WAXHAW, N.C. – Union County deputies are searching for a convicted felon who is suspected of stabbing a man to death on Tuesday night.

Authorities are looking for 36-year-old Marline Edward Hall. Deputies were called to Hall’s house on Hood Street in Waxhaw around 7 p.m. That’s where they found Hall’s neighbor, 56-year-old Lewis Coffey, suffering from fatal stab wounds.

Coffey was pronounced dead at the hospital. A murder warrant has been issued for Hall’s arrest.
