Michael Littlejohn

RALEIGH – Law enforcement officials say they have captured the inmate who escaped from Gaston Correctional Center Saturday morning.

Michael Littlejohn was captured at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Catawba, N.C. He was serving a 58-year sentence for armed robbery, larceny and assault on a government officer.

Littlejohn is being held at the Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, N.C., where he is waiting to face escape charges in court.
