CORNELIUS, N.C. – Investigators say they’re not looking for any suspects in the double shooting of an elderly Cornelius couple Thursday.

The couple’s caregiver found the bodies in their home on John Gamble Road around 2 p.m. Police say they’re leaning toward the possibility that the shootings were a murder-suicide.

“We’re considering all aspects of it,” said Capt. K.G. Black of the Cornelius Police Department. “Currently right now we do not have any suspects and we are not looking for any suspects at this time.”
