CHARLOTTE – A woman was seriously hurt when she was hit by a car in uptown Charlotte on Wednesday evening.

Police said a mother and father holding a baby were standing on the corner of 6th Street and Poplar Street when a car hit the mother, knocking her into the man and baby.

The victim was taken to the hospital and there is no word on her condition.
