Tracey grew up in Fredericksburg, VA. She's the youngest of four and remembers putting together her first newscast at age 10 with a home video recorder. Since then, she's been driven to work in broadcast news.

Tracey graduated from Elon University where she played soccer. During that time, she interned for FOX 8 WGHP in High Point, NC and the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show in New York, NY. Tracey also worked for the Central Intelligence Agency in between semesters.

Tracey landed her first job in television at WMBB, an ABC affiliate in Panama City, Florida. Her most memorable assignment there was traveling with the Commander of First Air Force to several military bases in Canada.

Tracey joined the News 14 Carolina news team in 2004 as a reporter where she’s covered everything from the General Assembly to the state fair. She also witnessed a state execution at Central Prison in Raleigh.

Tracey was promoted to Weekend Anchor in 2005. In August 2006, she became the Weekday Morning Anchor.
