Leanna Newman, 20, and her unborn child died in a head-on collision Tuesday.
LANDIS, N.C. -- The victim of a deadly accident last week in Rowan County was laid to rest Saturday, but investigators say there are still questions surrounding her death.
Leanna Newman, 20, was eight-months pregnant when she and the unborn child were killed in a head-on crash Tuesday. Her 20-month-old daughter, Malery, was in the car at the time of wreck, but wasn't hurt.
Police say the other driver, Rigo Martinez, was driving without a valid license and was speeding when he crossed the yellow line. Martinez is still at Carolinas medical Center listed in fair condition.
Once released, Martinez is expected to be charged.
