Steven Bradley
RALEIGH -- A highway patrol trooper arrested for driving while impaired has resigned.

On Dec. 4, police say 38-year-old Steven Bradley, of Apex, ran a stop sign and drove his car into a pond on Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh. His two children were in the car with him at the time.

Police say Bradley had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.

In addition to DWI, Bradley was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer after the accident.
