Missing Woman
News 14 Carolina's Aaron Mesmer has more on the investigation in this report.
News 14 Carolina's Conan Gasque spoke with Sallie Rohrbach's neighbors in Angier who are shocked by her disappearance.
CHARLOTTE -- Police found the car of a missing Harnett County woman Sunday morning at a SouthEnd fast food restaurant.

Police say 44-year-old Sallie Rohrbach, of Angier, arrived in Charlotte on Wednesday for business but has not been heard from since. Her car, a state-owned vehicle, was found around 8 a.m. in a Bojangle’s parking lot at the corner of West Boulevard and South Tryon Street.

Rohrbach is an agency examiner for the department of insurance. She has worked there for about eight years.

Police say the manager at Bojangle’s called in the car after seeing something about it on the news. The parking lot is located less than a mile from where Rohrbach was last seen.

The car was found around 8 a.m. Sunday at a Bojangle's at the intersection of West Boulevard and South Tryon Street.
"From information they saw in the media that a vehicle fitting the description of the missing person that we have an APB out on was in their parking lot,” said CMPD Capt. Earl Mathis.

Investigators went from home to home and business to business in the SouthEnd area on Sunday asking the same question.

"They were just curious if we'd seen the missing woman, asking if we knew anything about the area, the general area where she was last seen, what we were doing, where we were at," said neighbor Bill Cicely.

Cicely says in a matter of hours, he was asked twice if he'd seen Rohrbach.

"Just that she kind of up and disappeared and nobody really knows anything, it does kind of concern me a little bit," he said.

A missing persons alert was issued for Rohrbach. Police say she was conducting business at 1427 South Boulevard, but from there, few details are known.

"We're in the process of processing the vehicle,” Mathis added. “Missing persons will be continuing the investigation."

Crime scene investigators combed the car, searching for any evidence that could point to Rohrbach's whereabouts. Police won't say how long they believe the car sat unnoticed in the parking lot.

Rohrbach is described as 5-foot-2, about 120 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes. If you have any information, you are urged to call police immediately.
