The clay soils in this area get compacted fairly easily as traffic increases across the lawn in the summer.
To let the air, water and nutrients reach the roots of our grass; we need to aerate the soil. It’s a very simple process.
You can use a machine or a hand-held tool to remove small plugs of the soil. Either leave them in place or rake them into an area where there is a low spot.
When you’re finished, the lawn will take water better and should be greener all summer.
