GREENSBORO -- The phone at Crown Paint and Body in Greensboro has been ringing off the hook... all courtesy of the icy weather we've had this past week.
"We usually have about on average, maybe five or six tow-ins per day. We had eight within an hour," Crown Paint and Body shop manager Frankie Campbell said.
Campbell says when they heard winter weather was headed to the Triad they knew they would be busy.
"We tried to get out the vehicles that were close to being repaired, so we decided to try to hurry up and get them out. We figured we were going to be very busy," he said.
And where a usual repair would just take a few days, customers could have to wait for a week to get their cars fixed.

"You're going to have parts delayed. You're going to have insurance companies are going to be overwhelmed, so it's going to take a little bit longer to write the estimates," he said.
If you're one of the hundreds of drivers in need of a repair, be patient and go with a body shop you trust. And if the icy weather strikes again, take it slow and don't get out on the road if you don't need to.
