GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Authorities say they have arrested a suspect in the robbery of a vacationing FBI agent last month in downtown Greenville.
Police say Elmer David Cespedes-Orozco, 23, of Lexington, N.C., was charged with armed robbery after he turned himself in Wednesday night.
Investigators think Cespedes-Orozco held a gun during the April 27 robbery.
Authorities say two men in ski masks robbed the agent and two people with her at gunpoint. The agent fired a shot at the men as they ran off.
Investigators say they have not determined if a man whose body was found earlier this week in Laurens County was involved in the robbery. Authorities say the man was shot in the heart and dumped by a dirt road.
