RALEIGH -- The Triangle saw a rise in unemployment in November, and the region continues to feel the impact of a global economic recession.

The Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is meeting to discuss the area’s financial forecast. The state chamber held a similar meeting last Monday, and the outlook was not good.

Wednesday, local businesses can hear more specifics about how the Triangle population has been affected by the recession. Financial experts from the private and public sector will share their analysis about what to expect for job growth in the area and how incomes are holding up in the economic climate.

Labor figures indicate the Triangle has fared a little bit better than the rest of the state during the recession, with the unemployment rate almost 2 percent lower than the state average.
