Gun shop robbery suspect charged

ASHEBORO, N.C. -- A robbery suspect who police say assaulted an officer Wednesday is behind bars.
Authorities say Ha Wan Lieng Hot tried to rob Frank's Gun Shop in Asheboro. When deputies responded, they found him parked outside the business and arrested him.
Hot is facing multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon on a government official. He is in the Randolph County jail under a $200,000 bond.
Deputies are still looking for a second suspect who ran from the store.
