It was an emotional morning in a Greensboro courtroom as N.C. State’s head basketball coach Sidney Lowe took the stand in his son’s sentencing hearing.
A psychiatrist says Lowe was addicted to drugs, and his father told the court that those drugs changed his son.
“I mean, obviously I love my son,” said the elder Lowe. “Let me say first to the victims [I’m sorry] that you had to go what you went through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. But that wasn't my son.”
The younger Lowe could face up to 23 years in prison.
