Annual Christmas parade marches through Raleigh

Santa Claus made an early trip through Raleigh Saturday during the 65th annual Raleigh Christmas Parade. Parade watchers and participants said they're glad it wasn't quite as cold as last year's parade.

The man accused of raping and murdering 5-year-old Shaniya Davis made his first court appearance Friday. Mario McNeill was charged Thursday with first-degree murder and first-degree rape in the case.
